The War Within my Heart - The Battle of Power

Power becomes an idol when we think more highly of ourselves and then battle to put ourselves above others. The original temptation in the Garden of Eden was to resist the limits God puts on us. We seek to be God when we try to take back power. We don't like to admit our weaknesses, but it is when we recognize and admit our weakness that we are strong through God's strength. So, let's take a look at power to see if it fights for an exalted position in our hearts.

Scripture Readings: Matthew 20:20-28 and 2 Corinthians 12:10 (NIV)
