From David: We have noticed signs posted on the beach next to the Marriott time share building across from Sugar Sands stating the public can no longer use the beach in front of that building. How can the town post a public beach access only to have the Marriott say we can no longer use the beach. From Marcy: My neighbor was harassed at the beach the other day. He was told he had to leave ... this is a private beach. Reply: The City spoke to the manager of the Oceana Palm's Marriott and told him they must remove the signs and verified that indeed the sign has now been removed. Thank you Riviera Beach for your prompt action in resolving this issue. Reply: They are ships/barges extracting sand offshore and taking it out to the pumping area for deposit on the beaches of Palm Beach County.
