The Saskatchewan Library Association is a volunteer run, non-profit organization mandated to further the development of library service in Saskatchewan. The SLA Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for 2 year terms for each of the following positions:

Vice-President, Membership and Publications - In this position you are involved in several committees, with leadership for Membership and SLA's Communications.
*
President - In this position, you would provide leadership on the board, the Executive, and the Personnel Committee, and be involved in the Continuing Education and Conference Committees. You would also help to represent the Association at the national level, with connections to The Partnership, and the developing national library federation.
*
Member-at-Large - 2 positions - In these positions, you become involved in learning the ins and outs of board activities, participate in at least 2 committees, and engage in various decisions and initiatives of the board.

Please consider serving your Association through one of these positions, or encourage a colleague to be nominated. Service in each of these positions begins at the changeover meeting in early June (date to be determined following election). Electronic voting for these positions will be held in March.
The results will be reported at the AGM on May 7, 2016 in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Libraries Conference which will be held in Saskatoon.
