Former abortion worker to lead March for Life Saturday
North Texas pro-life community shines a light on downtown Dallas
DALLAS, JANUARY 14, 2016 --  On Saturday, January 16, 2016, thousands of North Texans will gather together to pray and witness to the tragic loss of over 57 million unborn children since the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade.

The theme of the 2016 North Texas March for Life is "Speak LIFE to this present darkness" representing a call to the community to not only stand against the culture of death threatening the most vulnerable among us, but also to act as beacons for the millions suffering from past abortion experiences.

Bishop Kevin Farrell of the Diocese of Dallas, who celebrates the Roe Memorial Mass each year and helps lead the North Texas March for Life, describes this annual event as a "wonderful opportunity to witness to Christ's merciful love," especially in this Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy declared by Pope Francis. Bishop Farrell exhorts the faithful: "We are all called to be Christ's light in the darkness and messengers of His merciful grace to the suffering. Participating in the Roe Memorial Events is a good way to begin answering this call."

This year's March and Rally will feature Jewels Green -- a former abortion worker turned ardent human rights advocate. She will share her incredible transformation as she exited the industry and found personal healing after her own abortion. She is overjoyed to see the tide shifting in public opinion about abortion and credits this, in part, to the peaceful, prayerful presence of dedicated individuals providing assistance to pregnant mothers in need.
