 Dear ATCA members,
I am writing today to solicit your vote for the opportunity to serve you as the East Area representative of the Air Traffic Control Association Board of Directors. As many of you know, I have been a longtime contributor and supporter of ATCA efforts both domestically and internationally.
I retired from the FAA in August 2012 having gained an extensive amount of varied operational expertise in various positions starting as an air traffic controller and working my way up through the ranks to the Senior Vice President for Operations and eventually the Deputy Chief Operations Officer. I believe the opportunities I have been afforded make me uniquely qualified to serve as your representative to the board. During my tenure at FAA I served on a variety of committees such as the CANSO Executive Committee, the FAA Administrators NextGen committee and the joint ATO and AVS team that established the UAS and the PBN organizations.
Currently, I am Executive Vice President for Air Traffic Management and Industry Affairs at Metron Aviation with a special emphasis on supporting the advancement of NextGen domestically and SESAR efforts internationally. As your representative I bring a wide range of relationships internationally and here within the U.S. My experience allows me to view opportunities and share experiences from within the system and now externally; bringing a unique perspective on how best to support and serve the ATCA members as well as the Board.
I continue to support and maintain relationships with my former FAA colleagues, international ATM service providers, Congressional committees, aviation stakeholder representatives and associations, as well as aviation enthusiasts.
