Br. Nazir Ahmad, father of Br. Shahbaz Ahmad, passed away few days ago in Pakistan. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and may Allah grant patience to the family. Please keep the family in your prayers.
The family has planned for Quran recitation on Saturday, Sep 27th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at MALV followed by lunch.

The Great Muslim Adventure Day: Friday Sept 26th 11am-11pm
- ICNA has organized The Great Muslim Adventure Day on Friday Sept 26th from 11:00am to 11:00pm in Jackson, New Jersey. The whole park is reserved for Muslims.
- Tickets are available at MALV for a reduced price of $28/person. If you are interested in purchasing tickets please contact Br Mirza Baig

- MALV now has a Mobile App available for iPhone and Android. This App will be used to communicate changes in Salah time, announcements, as well as making donations. The App is called Masjidtime. Once you have installed it you can register by adding 'Muslim Association of Lehigh Valley".
Eid-al-Adha: Saturday Oct 4, 2014
- Saudi Arabia has announced the day of Arafat to be on Friday Oct 3rd, as a result, Inshallah MALV will be celebrating Eid on Saturday Oct 4th.
- There will be two prayers: 1st prayer will begin at 8:30am, takbirah will begin at 8:00am; 2nd prayer will begin at 10:00am, takbirah will begin at 9:45am
- An Eid dinner is planned for Saturday evening at 6:30pm. We are looking for donations and sponsors for the Eid dinner. If you would like to donate please send email to [email protected] or contact one of the EC members.
Festival of Sacrifice:
- We have received an update from the farm that one year old goat for slaughtering are not available this year, however you can choose sheep for slaughtering. The cost per sheep will be $250. To reserve your animal, please make checks payable to Ziad Shetayh and give them over to Sr Humera by Sep 26th. Sr. Humera will be at MALV on Friday at Jummah and can also be reached at [email protected] or 484-358-6918.
- The farmer will provide tent, chairs, tables, tea and coffee and will also clean up afterwards. The address of the Farm is 786 Fir Drive, Walnutport PA 18088.
- Each family will be responsible for bringing one food dish to share along with necessary paper products (plates, napkins, forks/spoons, and paper cups) and one bottle of soda/water.
- Depending on the weather, families are encouraged to bring their own grill/charcoal to Bar-B-Q.
Boys & Girls Dars:
- There will Dars for boys and girls 13+ on Friday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Manarah Islamic Academy / School Announcements:
- The Manarah Islamic Academy is still looking for teachers to fill vacant positions. If you know anyone who may be interested please refer them to the Academy.
