Looking for some answers on how to be a parent who encourages your child's faith?
What practices increase a child's faith and how do we best encourage life-long faith in our children? The answer to these questions and more, as well as insights on the impact of today's culture are shared during our round-table discussions.

Haven't been a part of the study? That's OK, newcomers are welcome!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Due to the chronic blood shortage, we will once again host the Bloodmobile and ask you to open your heart, roll up your sleeve and donate blood. With our aging population and many people on vacation, the blood supply is critically short during the summer months. Imagine if you or your loved one needed blood!Blood donors must be in good health, be at least 16 years old (with parent's written permission) and weigh over 110 lbs. Donors over age 75 must have permission from their doctor.Eat a good meal before donating blood and drink plenty of fluids. Allow one hour - every effort has been made to simplify the registration, screening and donation process. Light snacks are provided afterwards. Humans are the only source of blood, and your one pint can save three lives. Please open your heart and roll up your sleeve. If you can't, send a friend - every pint counts! Thank you!
The Service Faire Is Coming!!! Save the Date: November 22, 2014
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Attention everyone! The Packanack Clubhouse has been booked for Saturday, November 22, 2014, for our next Service Faire. What is a Service Faire? It's a fundraiser for our church in which we auction off goods and services for the community.

We would like as many people as possible to participate in the event. There are many ways in which you can contribute. You can help run the event by volunteering to be an auctioneer, a runner, a money handler, bringing baked goods, and many more jobs to fill. You can also donate a good or service to the auction. Maybe you can offer a trip to the airport, or to do some yard work for someone, or the use of a summer home that you could lend for the week. Maybe you have tickets to a sporting event or play that you could donate. These are just some of the ways in which you can donate your time and/or treasure to help us raise money for our church.

Please give prayerful consideration to how you can participate in this event. To volunteer and/or donate, contact Lauri Masur at [email protected] or Barb Bogert at [email protected].

Thank you for helping us make this event a success!
Flowers Needed for the Communion Table
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The following dates are still open for flowers on the communion table:
August 17
If you would like to provide the flowers that day, please contact Kerry Ficker, our Office Manager, at [email protected]
Bell Helpout Date: Tuesday, August 26, 10:00am
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Each month, a group of volunteers is needed to assist the office staff with collating the Bell newsletter, stuffing the envelopes, and getting it in the mail. It's a great opportunity to do a little work for the church, make some new friends, and have some fun at the same time.

The next Bell Helpout Date is Tuesday, August 26, at 10:00am in Room 10.

If you can join us, please contact Kerry at [email protected] to let her know you are coming. Thank you for your assistance.
Plan Ahead for the Bell Deadline
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please note that, due to administrative changes in the church office and delivery delays at the post office, the monthly Bell newsletter has a firm deadline for any announcements that the congregation may wish to place in it. Announcements and flyers received after that date will not be included until the following month. If you would like to let the congregation know about an upcoming event, please plan ahead and make sure that you submit the announcement on time.
The deadline for the October Bell is Tuesday, September 2.
