Journey to the top...

Our World Cup teams head into 2016 in welcome, but historically unfamiliar territory, on American soil preparing for the next three races in North America. It's always enjoyable competing on the tracks in Lake Placid and Park City and it should provide some strong momentum as we look ahead toward the World Championships.

One thing I love about the New Year's holiday is it gives us all a natural point in time to assess where we've been and where we want to go. The idea of a new chapter is pure excitement for dreamers and believers. To some extent, that's what we all are. We have to be.

For all of our athletes, regardless of where you find yourself today, I offer this advice: take a few minutes to appreciate what you've accomplished so far on your journey. Then start filling the blank pages of this new chapter with words you will be proud to read. It's your story; it might as well be epic.

TEAM USA CLAIMS 41 MEDALS TO KICK OFF 2015-16 SLIDING SEASON

The USA Bobsled and Skeleton team was busy during the first couple of months of the 2015-16 season. With 41 medals already credited to the American sliders, Team USA has received contributions from five of six tours, including 12 podium finishes in North American Cup races.

Another year has come and gone. USA Bobsled & Skeleton had a lot to celebrate in 2015, including a pair of tour championships and yet another historical bobsled barrier broken. Check out the top-15 moments of the year as we recognize the past and look forward to ringing in an even more successful 2016.

Terra Evans has always wanted to be the fastest, no matter what she was doing.

After meeting some resistance from her parents, who thought she was too young to start running, she finally set foot on the track when she was just seven years old.

Regardless of where in the world our athletes are throughout the holiday season, their loved ones are always at the top of their minds. 2015-2016 USABS TOUR MEDAL COUNT

The 2015-2016 USABS season will be a busy one. Athletes will represent the United States on six tours this season: World Cup, Intercontinental Cup, European Cup, North American Cup, Youth Olympic Games Qualifications Series and the Paralympic World Cup.

USABS SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

The World Cup team will be on the ice in Lake Placid next week for the fourth of eight tour stops this season. Find out more about the Lake Placid track by clicking here.
