Cyber-Seniors is a Hit!
Last month, we tried something new for our monthly educational meetings. We rented a small theater at CCA and showed the award-winning, humorous documentary Cyber-Seniors, about a group of 70+ Canadian seniors, mentored by teenagers, who discover the Internet, including e-mails, Facebook, Skype and YouTube.
Enthusiasm was high among participants in the post movie discussion for joining the Cyber-Seniors phenomenon and having TTN partner with local teens to offer a similar program in Santa Fe. We own 2 DVDs of the movie and have a 2-year license for public showings. So, we expect to be showing it in multiple venues around town during that time. Our new meeting Suggestion Box was already stuffed with ideas and further discussions will be brought to 2015 meetings and within the Program Committee and possibly the new Community Connection Committee, which are still seeking members to help plan activities for the upcoming year. Contact Francesca Shrady to find out more about participating in the Program Committee.
The Community Connection Committee will be introduced to the membership in early 2015, along with a sharing of ideas generated at our October leadership retreat, with a solicitation of broader membership input and participation in bringing the Santa Fe TTN chapter into it's next phase.
