October is Bullying Prevention Month

The Town of Moraga issued an official proclamation at the last Town Council Meeting.

...RESOLVED that I, Roger Wykle, Mayor of the Town of Moraga, along with my fellow Councilmembers, do hereby proclaim October 2015 as National Bullying Prevention Month; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Moraga schools, parents, parks and recreation programs, religious institutions, and community organizations be encouraged to engage in a variety of awareness and prevention activities designed to make our community safer for all children and adolescents.

The Moraga School District and the Acalanes Unified High School District will be voting on similar resolutions this month.

Moraga iKind Pledge

At the Moraga Pear and Wine Festival thirteen sixth and seventh grade volunteers from Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School collected 285 iKind pledges.

Thank You to everyone who stopped to sign the pledge and spin our prize wheel.

285 is a great start, if you know of any organizations that would like to participate let us know.  We have a pledge version for organizations and individuals.
