Worship this week - April 27th
|
Matt Crane's sermon is "We Are Witnesses" based on Acts 2.14a, 22-32. Peter declares to his hearers in Acts 2.32, "This Jesus God raised up, and of that all of us are witnesses." Peter and the disciples were witnesses to the resurrected Jesus and to the new life in God that the resurrected Jesus was inaugurating. Throughout history the Church has born witness to this new life in world-changing ways. The question for us today is this: How is our witness changing the world?

Congregational Meeting Next Sunday, May 4th
Next Sunday, there will be single worship service beginning at 10:00am. Immediately following the worship service, there will be a meeting of the congregation. The purpose of the meeting is to vote on dissolving the pastoral relationship of the Rev. D. William McIvor. Coffee fellowship will follow the meeting. There will not be Sunday School or Adult Education.

Boston Bound!
The Middle School and High School Youth Groups will be Boston bound Sunday, April 27th. We will meet at the church at 2:00pm to head to Boston to see the 4:00pm showing of the movie "Jerusalem" at the IMAX Theatre at Museum of Science. We will enjoy a dinner in North End afterwards and be back at the church by 9:00pm! If you have questions about either group, please contact Matt Crane.

YouthServe Work Days - New Opportunities
The PCiS Youth Groups will be once again offering their time and services again to help members complete projects around the house on May 10th. As part of this fundraising effort, you also have the choice to sponsor a teen while they work at the church on Spring Work Day.  Spring Work DayNext Saturday, May 3rd, 9:00am - 2:00pm!
Please join us for our spring semi-annual workday gathering. There will be a check list of items that need attention - from miscellaneous clean-up and maintenance to gardening and other routine seasonal changes - come and pick something you're comfortable doing. There is much to do and many hands make light work! If possible, please bring your own tools to use or share. If you have any questions/comments/suggestions, contact Barry Fiske at 617-733-9166.
