Representing our chapter, the team of Jeri Paik, Pam Katros, Lori Lucius, and Marcia Whiting played in the PWGA Sacramento Area Team Play Qualifier at Morgan Creek on July 7. 19 teams competed in this 2-net best ball event, and our team took 2nd place!! Which means that they have qualified to play in the Team Play Championship at Sevillano Links on September 9-10!

County Mixed Championship

On Sunday, July 6 at Cherry Island, 36 teams teed off to compete for the Sacramento County Mixed Championship. Congratulations to Linda DeLong (and her partner, Bob Fleming) for taking 2nd place in the first flight!!

July 21 -- 9-Hole Scramble
|

Location Change: New Course is Woodcreek Golf Club
On Monday, July 21 we'll be having a 9-hole Scramble on the Woodcreek front 9 beginning at 5 pm to celebrate the end of Fast Trackers 2014! It will be a shotgun start beginning at 5 pm. We want this scramble to be a great experience for all our no/higher handicap EWGA members. It would nice to see as many lower handicap players join in as possible ... you know how much you like playing with (or watching) better golfers?...everyone does! All of you with handicaps somewhere in between are welcomed to participate in the fun too.
We are getting a special rate of $23 which includes; golf, cart & range balls. You will pay at the course but there is a deadline of July 19 to register. So come on out and join us!

July 27 -- Hit, Switch, & Bitch
|

Also known as Chapman format ... but Hit, Switch & Bitch is a more descriptive name!! You and your partner hit your drives. For the second shot you hit the other person's ball. Then you choose which shot is the best and proceed to play out the hole using the alternate shot format.
Sign up with a partner or we can pair you with someone.
The teams will be divided into flights depending on a combination of your handicaps. So come join us at Ancil Hoffman and try something different and enjoy a team play format!
