Welcome back!  I hope that everyone had a very restful break and were able to recharge themselves for a great 2nd semester! I am extremely excited to begin my two week period as your principal at TJ. You can expect to see me throughout the building and in the classrooms as well as supporting our TJ family at our many after school events. TJ Named Top Performing DPS High School
Go Spartans!
TJ was one of only 4 traditional high schools in DPS to be named Top Performing/High Growth for 2014/2015. This is TJ's second consecutive rating as a "top performing" high school in DPS, and it marks the 4th time in the past 6 years that TJ has been recognized with this distinction.

Congratulations to all of the faculty, staff, and students who have worked so hard to earn this recognition!

CLEP Testing
Thomas Jefferson is excited to announce that we have become a certified CLEP testing center and have already qualified 13 students for college credits.  The College Level Examination Program also known as CLEP, offers students the opportunity to receive college credit for what they already know by earning qualifying scores on any of 33 CLEP examinations.  CLEP exams allow students who have comprehensive knowledge on a subject to show their understanding at a college level.  TJ administered the first World Language (Spanish and French) CLEP test on Wednesday, December 9 th .  All thirteen students who participated earned a recommended amount of either 6 or 9 credits to any public institution in the state of Colorado. This figure or amount is the recommended amount of credits per the American Council of Education (ACE),   however, each college reserves the right to set its own credit-granting policy.  We are so proud of the following students: Arely Cruz, Ricardo Felipe, Cristina Garcia onofre, Jenny Jacal, Saly Kacou, Lionel Mbou, Erika Nieves, Rolando Patino-Perez, Alexa Renteria, Alejandro Rico, Ruby Rodriguez, Diana Ruiz and Daniela Valenzuela.
