Katy ISD Board of Trustees Approves 2016-2017 Attendance Boundary Modification
 
Last month, the Katy ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve the attendance boundary modifications (ABM) designed to address the opening of three new campuses and alleviate overcrowding at campuses landlocked with 125 percent capacity.

These ABMs will provide needed relief to Rylander and West Memorial elementary schools, as well as balance enrollment as the District prepares to open two elementary schools and one junior high next school year. Read more...
Katy Tiger Football Team Wins 8th State Championship

The NRG Stadium was filled with a "sea of red" on December 19 as the Katy High School Tigers won their eighth state championship against the Lake Travis Cavaliers. Additionally, the Tigers ranked first in the final MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
Morton Ranch High School Senior Receives Texas Department of Agriculture GROW Award

Morton Ranch High School senior Daniel Rodriguez was announced as the winner of the Texas Department of Agriculture's GROW award last month by Commissioner Sid Miller. The GROW award Gives Recognition for Outstanding Work to middle and high school students who demonstrate leadership and excellence in the classroom and beyond. Read more... 
Katy ISD to Break Ground on South Transportation Center Expansion

Katy ISD Hosts Men Who Mentor Breakfast on Jan. 22
 
Keep Encouraging Youth toward Success (KEYS), the Katy ISD mentor program, will host the Men Who Mentor Breakfast on Friday, January 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Education Support Complex. This annual event provides support for existing male mentors and information for men interested in becoming a mentor. Read more...
Katy ISD Parent and Patron Assistance Center

The Parent & Patron Assistance Center (PPAC) is a confidential resource that serves the Katy ISD community by helping to address concerns, complaints, conflicts and other school-related issues in an informal manner on behalf of the Superintendent. The Coordinator is available to listen to and analyze problems; identify and explain relevant District policies and procedures; and explore options for parents and patrons.
