Self-Destructive Behaviors: Get Off the Train Before It Crashes

Sometimes we can be our own worst enemies. We overeat. We smoke. We sabotage our relationships. We let ourselves be ruled by our anger, hold grudges, isolate ourselves from those we love, let fears and phobias overtake our lives. In short, we treat ourselves far worse than we would ever treat others.

You're probably aware that all of these self-destructive behaviors have one thing in common: They make you miserable.

But you may not realize that these behaviors usually have a second thing in common, too: Their root cause is something that happened in your past.

Distracting or Punishing
Often people are not consciously aware of why they are having these behaviors. But these behaviors are all ways of not dealing with the underlying issue.

For example, "bad habits," such as smoking, nail biting and emotional eating, are usually "distracting" behaviors. You're trying to distract yourself from the issue.

"Punishing" behaviors are ways of punishing yourself for the issue that you're not dealing with. Examples of this include self-mutilation, starving yourself, constant negative self-talk, anger, grudges, fear, anxiety and debilitating panic attacks.

You don't have to live this way
Whether you're "distracting" or "punishing," instead of living the life that you deserve you're on a run-away train that's heading for a crash. Luckily, there is a solution - and it does not require medication or months (or years!) of therapy sessions. That solution is hypnosis.

Through my unique 5-session hypnotherapy program we can quickly get to the root of your problem and neutralize it. It's like creating the "2.0" version of yourself. You get to keep the stuff that you like about yourself and polish it up, while getting rid of everything that's bringing you down. So you can start treating yourself with kindness, liking yourself, enjoying your life and looking forward to the future.

PodcastPODCAST: DISTRACTIVE BEHAVIORS

What do you do when something bothers you? Instead of addressing the issue, do you distract yourself with bad habits, such as overeating, smoking, picking or acting out in some way? If so, you're in good company. Many people find it easier to distract themselves with nonsense, rather than face a problem and solve it. Wouldn't it be better to deal with your feelings in a way that goes to the root of the problem, calmly and peacefully? Learn how hypnosis can help you do so.
