January Monthly Program Meetings

Monday, January 27, 2014

Location: Unitarian Church, 107 West Barcelona

and

Tuesday, January 28, 2014

Time: 1:45 - 3:30pm

Location: Christ Church, 1213 Don Gaspar X Cordova

The Program Committee has some exciting changes in store for 2014. We are going to begin a HerStory series, featuring prominent local women who have made a difference in people's lives. These programs will be interspersed with programs that focus on women's development during one of the decades, from the 50s through the 80s, of our members' lives.  These will provide lively, interactive discussions for the monthly meetings.  January's speaker is still being arranged.  Come and be surprised and delighted.

SANTA FE TTN'S EVOLVING LEADERSHIP

Thanks to the hard work and committed leadership of our Steering Committee in 2011, 12 and 13, Santa Fe TTN is in a strong position to move forward into new arenas in 2014.  Betty Bartos, Jeanne Roos, Lisa Reed, Karen Hodges, Pat Shapiro, and Sheila Doran-Benyon have all served well and rotated off the Steering Committee over the past few months. They all remain committed to Santa Fe TTN and will continue to be involved.

Going forward, Jutta von Gontard will be the Chapter Coordinator, sharing responsibility for all chapter activities with Steering Committee members and others who have stepped forward to be on various committees. Over the next few months, we will determine in more detail what this shared leadership model will look like. For now, we'd like to gratefully acknowledge everyone who is contributing to the vibrancy and success of the Santa Fe Chapter:

  • Patty Armstrong, Communications
  • Maria Francis, Ann Church, and Sue Latham, Social Groups
  • Portia Blackman, Logistics
  • Chris Johnson and Mary Rives, Programming
  • Ellie Briggs, Julia Kinney, and Carolyn Rook, Membership
  • Jean Palmer, Chapter Liaison to TTN National

We are also actively recruiting members interested in joining us to help with Finance and Communications.  We may add more Steering Committee members and/or other committee members, as needed. Our new treasurer should be proficient and accurate with spreadsheets and budgets.  Interested members should contact Jutta at 505-820-0681 or [email protected] to express interest and find out more about Finance responsibilities.

Patty, our current communications coordinator, is looking to train one or more members with excellent writing and editing skills, who may have newsletter, flyer creation, media arts, broadcast media, and e-mail communication experience, or are interested in learning how to do these things.  Please contact Patty at 505-505-428-1406, 505-920-2888 (cell), or [email protected] to express interest and find out more.

We will be trying out some new programs, social groups and membership activities in 2014, as well as exploring our relationship to TTN National.  We will share our decisions and discoveries as they emerge.

The Santa Fe TTN Steering Committee wishes every member, participant and follower a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year.  We welcome your questions, suggestions, assistance and active participation in any and all of our planning and activities.  You may contact any of us directly or go through Jutta, at 505-820-0681 or [email protected], who will forward your information to the most appropriate Steering Committee member to get back to you.
