19 Broadway is in the process of adding food to its offerings with a unique approach ... converting a food truck to an auxilliary kitchen parked in the lot adjacent to the night club and bar.
Also, there will be some exciting new cocktails offered at the "other" bar in the "other" room that is currently being revamped.

Well Attended Chamber-Sponsored

ADA Compliance/Lawsuit Workshop

Two experts, Bassam Altwal and Sara Allman, in ADA compliance, rules, and law provided substantial information and insights for business owners, managers and commercial property owners in Fairfax at the meeting held at the Women's Club on July 24th.

A CASp inspection and report is the first line of defense against expensive ADA lawsuits.  The report, commissioned by the business tenant, the landlord, or both together sharing the cost (and tax advantages), will provide a clear picture of what issues need to be addressed.

There are many certified CASp specialists in California and you may choose any from a list provided by the state.

Just having a CASp report is a significant protection in itself; acting on it further enhances your ability to avoid litigation.

Protect Your Business
Group Discount Through Chamber

Bassam's company, Cal Accessibility, has offered to give a 25% discount on the cost of a CASp inspection and report if 6 or more Fairfax businesses have inspections done as a group. (15% discount if only 3-5 business participate).
The Chamber has negotiated this discount with Bassam as a service to its members.

A CASp study usually runs between $800-$1500 depending on the size of the business/building, and whether it is a restaurant or not.  Most businesses in Fairfax are considered small.

Several businesses are already in contact with Bassam's company.  If you wish to join in the group discount, get in touch with Bassam, and please also let the Chamber know because we want to measure how effective our program is for our members.
