On Sunday, May 11th, in conjunction with Cyclofemme, join riders in more than 200 cities in 23 countries around the world in a celebration of women and cycling! If you or someone you know is looking to try cycling for the first time, or to get back into it after a few years out of the saddle, this is a great opportunity. We'll be offering free 24-hour passes to anyone who wants to ride on the 11th. We'll also be at 15th & Pearl from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM offering demos of the system and answering any questions you may have.

 

Use promo code 33663 at any station on May 11th for a free 24-hour pass. Usage fees still apply, so remember to keep each ride short.

Braving the Bolder Boulder

If you've been around Boulder on Memorial Day before, you know that things can get a little crazy. Roads are blocked, runners are everywhere, and getting from point A to point B is less Driving Miss Daisy and more Road Warrior. 

Fear not! Boulder B-cycle is here to help. Bikes are still the best way to get around during the Bolder Boulder--just make sure you avoid the race route. Our service team will be working that day, ensuring that our system remains a reliable transportation option during the race.

May Ridership Contest!

The Tour de B-cycle is still on, and so is our first monthly ridership contest of 2014! In case you're new to ridership contests, here's how it works: each ride taken during a specific week gets you one entry into a drawing for that month's prize. May's ridership contest runs Monday, 5/18 through Monday, 5/26, and this month's prize is a bag generously donated by our friends at Green Guru.

While the Tour de B-cycle isn't a contest per se, these three are still winners in the colloquial sense, and isn't that what matters? Michelle, Anna and Minh were the first three riders to complete the Tour de B-cycle in 2014! By visiting all 22 stations in a single day, these all-around awesome folks have joined the hallowed ranks of Tour de B-cycle finishers on our Wall of Fame. Congratulations!

Bike of the month!

May's Bike of the Month is #657, AKA Hazy-B, sponsored by Hazel's Beverage World. This workhorse loves shuttling Boulder's hard-working professionals around downtown. When the whistle blows, you can find him taking trips up to the North Boulder Rec Center for a little R&R (riding & recreation). If you see Hazy-B spinning around town, take him for a ride to Hazel's, where Z Card members can get 30% off a Boulder B-cycle annual membership!
