BCI Giving Tree
This year's giving tree will benefit the family of our colleague, Lee Ripley. As you may well know, Lee Ripley has focused his efforts with business development in the BCI-Dallas office. Feel free to anonymously donate a gift card of any denomination to assist his wife with parking and incidentals while visiting the hospital and caring for Lee. His son, Jonathan, will also make a round trip from college in Nashville to spend time with Lee. BCI will gather all cards and gift cards and hand deliver them to his family. An additional option is to visit visit the Ripley page and donate at gofundme.com. Much gratitude has been expressed by Terry and Jonathan for BCI Family.

BCBS
BCBS has informed us that a  Medicare Coordination of Benefits (COB) letter has been circulating throughout the market place. This was distributed by an agent that decided to share the letter with the marketplace prior to discussing with BCBS.

The letter was inadvertently sent to a PPO member which is approaching age 65 and participates in a Medicare Primary group plan. The Medicare COB provision described in the letter only applies to BCBS HMO contracts and does not apply to BCBS PPO contracts. Contact your BCBS Account Executive for more information.

TASC COBRA Deadline is 15th of Month Prior to Benefit Plan Rate Changes
If you have clients with TASC and COBRAToday services, they are fast approaching the date when one (or more) of your client benefits plans may experience a rate change. COBRAToday must have accurate information on your Plan rates in order to administer COBRA for your Participants.

PLEASE NOTE:  In order to maintain compliance with federal law, COBRAToday requires that any changes in rates must be submitted to COBRAToday by the 15th of the month prior to the month in which they become effective. Failure to supply any changes in rates by this deadline will result in a delay of the effective date for the rate change. Rates received after the 15th will be made effective the first day of the month after the upcoming month (ex. rates submitted 6/20 will be effective 8/1). Under federal law, COBRAToday cannot charge Participants for retroactive premium changes.  If you fail to communicate any changes in rates before the 15th of the month prior to the month in which they become effective, you may have to pay the premium difference to your carrier. COBRAToday will not have any liability for any losses in premium differences due to a Plan Sponsor's failure to communicate rate changes, corrections, etc.

To view your benefit Plan(s) and corresponding rates, simply login to MyTASC at www.tasconline.com using BCI 12-digit ID 4900-0376-3932.  If there are any changes to the benefit Plans or premiums, please complete the Premium Rate Collection Form and fax it to us at 608-663-2753. The Premium Collection form is also available on the BCI agency drive (F:/Vendors/TASC/TASC Premium Collection Form).

To learn more, or to address any questions concerning this communication, simply contact your TASC Regional Sales Director, Howard Block, at [email protected] or call his cell at 832-689-0788. You may also login to MyTASC at www.tasconline.com, click on Contact Us, and complete a MyService Request by selecting Other as the topic of inquiry. Most service requests are addressed within two business days. You may also call our Customer Care Center at 1-800-422-4661. Please have BCI 12-digit Client ID handy when contacting TASC.
