Special Men's Breakfast on April 26

We will have a special presentation as part of our Journey Through The Wilderness series. Dan Summey will present a monologue as Jonah - certainly among God's most reluctant prophets who's journey is renowned for including the belly of a whale.  Although his story seems almost mystical, in the end we probably all have an inner Jonah declaring "why me, Lord?"

 

While many people know Dan as an attorney and faithful choir member, you may not know he holds a BFA in Dramatic Arts from UNC.  Locally he's appeared on stage with Richmond Shakespeare in As You Like It and with Barksdale Theater in Arthur Miller's The Crucible. Join us for this special time together!  

 

Episcopal Church 101 - It's Not Too Late!    
 
It's not too late to learn all about the Episcopal Church! Sign-up now for the next two sessions of Episcopal Church 101 with The Rev. Jeff on April 24 and May 1. Participants will have the option of being Confirmed by the Bishop on May 11. Good Friday Day of Fasting 
Join us on Good Friday, April 18 at 7:30 a.m. in the Worship Space for an informative time about fasting. You may choose to participate in the fast or just come to learn more about fasting.  Register now at CCE Online and contact the Rev. Barbara Marques for more information. 
      

Campus Clean-Up Day

 We are blessed to have such a beautiful campus! Help us spruce the place up for spring on our Campus Clean-Up Day, Saturday, April 26 at 9:00 a.m.  Bring work gloves and plan on spending a couple of hours tidying things up around here.  Questions?  Contact Jan Modlinski.

Service Saturday at Shalom Farms 
On Saturday, May 3 the youth, children & their families will join together for a Service Saturday at Shalom Farms.    

Walk the Stations of the Cross

Members of the Christ Church community have created unique, beautiful artistic representations for each of the Stations of the Cross. These 14 scenes depict the way Jesus traveled to the Cross in Jerusalem.

 

The Stations of the Cross will be on display in the Sanctuary through Saturday morning. You are invited to stop by the Worship Building anytime to walk these stations and reflect on the moment's leading to Christ's Crucifixion. A book of  meditations about each Station will be available in the Milling Area. 


Register Now for Vacation Bible School! 
 
On July 7-11 our children will enter the world of Weird Animals, where Jesus' love is one of a kind.

Each day, kids will participate in small groups, called Zoo Crews, and discover what Jesus' endless love means in their lives!  There will be time for music & singing, mission & crafts, snacks & games, and Bible stories. This week of faith and fun will require lots of help from volunteers and there are many helping positions available for youth and adults.
