St. Francis University and Huntington University both fought hard for the win last Friday night with St. Francis coming out with the win in the end. What we know is winning really isn't about winning a game or being the best over everyone else. Winning is really about giving your best and finding inner contentment in any outcome knowing you have given your best and will keep giving your best. This goes for sports and life.

How do you give your best? By putting forth your best effort with what you know and what you have been given (time, talent, treasure), and continuing to do so even in the midst of unwanted execution and outcome.

No one has the same exact knowledge and same exact amounts of time, talent or treasure to give to certain things. Everyone could know more and have more. And execution will not always be perfect. So, give what you can with what you know and have, let go of the outcome, and find contentment  knowing you gave your best. That's winning.

Kristina is the other co-founder of Winning Women. She has a competitive background in soccer, basketball, cc/track, volleyball and golf, and continues to enjoy being active. She currently lives in Fort Wayne, IN, with her husband of 5 months, Kaleb, and works full-time with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as an area rep. Her passion and goal is to help females know Jesus as Lord and Savior and to be a part of reconciliation of male and female relationships.

If it weren't for faithful men who believe in us as women that desire to reach women for Christ, Winning Women would not exist. It goes to show the power of men and women believing in each other and working together, using their unique gifts to advance God's work on earth.

Rather than looking at each other's faults or the fact that it can be really hard to understand one another at times, let's choose to search out what gifts each person has, male or female, and encourage them to pursue using that gift to glorify God.
