On Sunday, August 16th, with 18 women present, Winning Women was launched. After one year of praying, meeting, discussing and planning, our Lord has been faithful to provide for our every need to reach this point.

The work has only just begun.

The cries of the female hearts of the sports world (and elsewhere) are all around us and now here we are, starting small and working towards something way bigger than us. We want to thank you for being a part of the beginning and for being patient as we hash out the start up process.

While we do not know what God has planned for Winning Women, our vision is global, direction for each step is being sought, and we are continuing to follow as God leads.

Whether you are simply a part of receiving these monthly newsletters or desire and take action to get more involved, we are excited about how God will minister to and through you and your area of influence.

Denise is the co-founder of Winning Women and has much experience as an athlete, coach, and coach's wife. She resides in Fort Wayne, IN, with her husband, Mike, and has three daughters, Melissa (27), Molly (24), and Megan (21). She has been to Europe the past two summers and has developed a passion for seeing God move among females in sports at an international level.

Virtuous Woman is a Bible study geared towards middle and high school female athletes that digs into living out different virtues, such as Valor, Integrity, Resourcefulness, Trust in God, Uniqueness, Obedience, Unity, and Service. It looks at the lives of different women in the Bible as well as Jesus' life and what the Gospel is all about.

The goal for this section is for men to be heard and for women to gain godly understanding in how to better perceive, speak of and to, respect, come alongside and encourage the men and boys in our lives whether they're husbands, fathers, sons, friends, coworkers, athletes, students, etc. and no matter how bad we may have been hurt by them. We have also hurt them.

The Lord has called us to live in unity with one another within certain boundaries depending on the relationship. A lot can go in to attaining that but when men and women work together, unified in the midst of diversified, and within the boundaries God has laid out before us, God's kingdom can advance in mighty ways.

Our world has managed to bring so much brokenness to the male and female relationship, we want to see God mend these relationships that He originally created and meant for good.
