Instagram Granny Square Items benefiting Knots of Love

On August 15, 2014, crocheters around the world created a virtual granny square blanket on Instagram. Susan Regalia (@suregal27), the founder of the first annual Instagram Granny Square Day, encouraged followers to post a picture of a traditional granny square with the hashtag #grannysquareday. Sandra Sanger (@mobiusgirl) compiled 144 of the squares into an image of a "blanket" and created merchandise featuring the image.
