 Nov. 29, 11:00 a.m. "ADVENT ~ A Beautiful Spiritual Awakening"
November 29 is the first Sunday of Advent. The dictionary defines advent as arrival: "the arrival of something important or awaited." Unity and other New Thought teachings look to the season of Advent as "a thrilling and encouraging depiction of a beautiful spiritual awakening within the individual."This awakening is the dawning within us of the individualized presence of God within the personal self, rather than somewhere "out there."
Unity Athens is thrilled that our first Sunday in our beautiful new home coincides with the beginning of Advent. And it certainly is the arrival of something awaited. We are so happy to open the doors for this Sunday's 11:00 celebration. And while yes, you may see a few things that still require "doing," isn't that what awakening is all about? We'd love to see you this Sunday at 955 Hawthorne Avenue, Suite 105, as we celebrate another level of the spiritual awakening within ourselves and within Unity Athens.
Consider joining us this Sunday or in the weeks ahead as we celebrate the birthing of the consciousness within -- a beautiful, spiritual awakening.

Morning Quietude consists of gently guided meditation and often the presence of Reiki healers in a calm, comforting setting with soft music or deep silence. We're looking forward to an autumn of deep centering in Spirit. Join us in the lobby area from 9:40 to 10:20 for this time of peaceful meditation. Love offering basis.
Dec. 1 --The Tuesday Book Study Group
will begin new readings & meetings in our New Location in Bells Plaza Shopping Center. Join us from 1:30 to 3:15 on Tuesdays Dec. 1, 8th, and 15th as we explore the teachings of Emmet Fox, starting with
The Seven Day Mental Diet: How to Change Your Life in a Week. This short pamphlet is available from Amazon & also in the public domain. You can receive a free copy by attending the class on Dec. 1st. The Dec. 1st, 8th, & 15th classes are linked together by this work, but other books/pamphlets of Fox will be read & discussed. The class will not meet on Dec. 22 and 29 due to the holidays.

eet in a classroom at our new location.
Taught by an engaging and insightful facilitator, Drew Smith, this popular class dives deeply into A Course, while making the text even more understandable and relevant to daily life. Open to all. If you don't own the book, there's always someone willing to share. Because of the ongoing nature of this class, feel free to stop in as you can, or to participate every Sunday. Love offerings are accepted and appreciated. ACIM will hold its first meeting in our new home on Sunday, November 29th, at 2:00.

EXCITING NEWS! UNITY ATHENS MOVED INTO A WONDERFUL NEW HOME!
OUR "FIRST SUNDAY" IN OUR LOCATION IS NOVEMBER 29 - We are so Grateful!!
Such a joyous time in the life of Unity Athens! We are now able to start meeting in our beautiful new home in the Bells Shopping Center, 995 Hawthorne Avenue, Athens 30606. We are in Suite 105, right next to the Project Safe Thrift Store. It's only about a mile from our current location and has a large sanctuary, a generous "Gathering" room, and six other rooms for classes, meetings, and events. Volunteers and teams have been so busy with all the pre-opening details and we're appreciating the volunteers that will continue to step forward as we (in the words of Charles Fillmore} "
spring forth with a mighty faith to do the things that ought to be done" by us to help in the weeks ahead. If you would like to help, please let us know: [email protected]. Your ideas, creativity, and energy are so valuable! Donations of funds or goods can be made through

We are wishing you weeks and months ahead filled with even more things to appreciate, along with vibrant health, lavish abundance, much love, and peaceful moments on your Journey of Spiritual Discovery.
