California Pharmacist Journal

Call for Evidence-Based Practice Liaison

The California Pharmacist Journal (Journal) is a peer-reviewed pharmacy journal which aims to inform, educate, and motivate readers with clinical information that helps readers better serve their patients.

The Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Appraisal section of the Journal is undergoing changes to better meet the needs of health care professionals seeking evidence-based appraisals for improving patient care.  We are expanding the opportunities for pharmacists to get involved in this section of the Journal.

The Journal is calling for volunteers for two EBP Liaisons, one for Northern California and one for Southern California. The EBP Liaison will be responsible for:

  1. liaising with regional pharmacy schools in California;
  2. delivering a specified number of EBP appraisals per year (2 in year 1);
  3. co-authoring the EBP appraisals with the primary authors;
  4. following a standardized EBP appraisal framework  ;
  5. undergoing EBP training by the EBP Guest Editor; and
  6. committing to a 2-year term, with an option for renewal.

To apply for the position of EBP Liaison for the California Pharmacist Journal, please send your CV and a cover letter to Dr. Cynthia Jackevicius, EBP Guest Editor, at [email protected] no later than March 10.
