Twenty pacesetter communities and 10 mentor communities will be selected to participate in SCALE, a 20-month intensive "learning and doing" program designed to assist communities to achieve unprecedented results in improving the health and well-being of people, populations and the community-at-large.

SCALE (Spreading Community Adopters through Learning and Evaluation), a two-year initiative supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, will help communities develop capability to improve health and spread effective community-driven approaches to build a Culture of Health.

This December 2014 report from IHI and the Guiding Coalition outlines how change of this scale - to achieve 100 million people living healthier lives by 2020 - can happen in measurable ways, and how hospitals and health care organizations can get involved to support and strengthen community efforts around health. You can also learn more in the  FAQs document.

Could your community be a Pacesetter Community?

Or maybe a Mentor Community?

Buttercup Run Benefit

April 4th, 2015

Arlee Montana High School

The Buttercup run is an annual spring event in the Jocko Valley to raise funds for scholarships for graduating seniors from Arlee High School.  The run has an event for everyone, a 1 mile fun run - a short jaunt for all ages and capabilities; 5K run for those that want a quick workout in conjunction with a 5k walk for those that would like a bit longer stroll with their friends and neighbors; a 10k run for the more serious distance runner and the half marathon for the totally insane.
All funds raised go towards scholarships to students and mini-grants to teachers.  Donations are always welcome.  The Friends of Arlee School wouldn't be able to fund these great projects without your participation. Learn more here!
