New RHI Project Coordinator

We would like to introduce the Rural Health Initiative (RHI)'s new project coordinator, Sarah Devitt. Please join us in welcoming her!

Sarah Devitt has recently joined us after graduating earlier this month with her Masters of Science in Health and Human Development from Montana State University. Previously, in 2012, she earned her Bachelors of Science in Community Health also from MSU. Her interests include rural health, gerontology and preventative healthcare. She is from Columbus Montana, and has been a Montana girl all her life. Sarah spends her free time fishing and exploring Montana's great outdoors. Her enthusiasm and scholarship will be great assets to RHI.

Summer Photo Contest!

The Montana RHI is holding its first Summer Photo Contest to give you, and your community, an opportunity to visually share how you are staying healthy this summer!

Our Summer Photo Contest has two categories: Individual and Community. Individuals are encouraged to submit photo's that are specific to their personal healthy behaviors, and community members are asked to share with us what their community is doing that fosters local health and wellness. For the months of June, July and August, we will pick both a Community and Individual winner. The winners will be awarded a $25 Amazon gift card. At the very end of the contest, a Community and Individual grand prize award of a $100 gift card will also be given. Throughout the three months, all submitted photos will be eligible for the grand prize award.

Please email your rural health photos to the Montana Rural Health Initiative at [email protected]. Participants can also post their submissions on Montana's Rural Health Initiative Facebook page here. For more information and specific contest details, open this link!
