Bring Back Our Boys

Before we share our Ariel update with you, we'd like to take a few seconds to note that Eyal, Gil-ad and Naftali - the three teens who were kidnapped on their way home from Gush Etzion last Thursday night - are part and parcel of who we are. They do not live in Ariel, they do not study in Ariel, but we are all in this together. We know that you join is in our prayers for their safe and speedy return, and we thank you for playing an active role in the Israel story.

Mayor Eli Shaviro's Inaugural Trip to the USA

Mayor Eli Shaviro recently returned from an intense, whirlwind, coast to coast trip across  the USA, meeting and greeting groups and individuals. Everyone wanted to get to know Mayor Shaviro. The experience couldn't have been more rewarding.

"On his first USA tour as Mayor of Ariel, Eliyahu (Eli) Shaviro had several goals. For starters, he set out to meet the many friends of Ariel who have lent their support to the city throughout the years and to thank them for always being there to help meet the needs of the residents of Ariel. A Salute to Education in Ariel

On June 11, a special evening honoring Ariel's educators was held at the Ariel Regional Center for the Performing Arts. The hall was filled with educators and staff from all of Ariel's educational institutions.
The evening began with delightful performances by two young pianists and later, Ort Junior High's "Musicals" graced the stage with some well-known Israeli songs.

Ilana Nulman, Director of Education in Ariel, acted as the evening's MC. "This night is for you," she announced to the city's educators. "Your dedication and uncompromising efforts affect every household in Ariel. Through your work, you touch thousands of children and influence not only their present day lives but also their future. You affect their self-worth, their confidence in their abilities, their accomplishments and successes. For this - and for so much more that you give and that you do - tonight, we thank you."
