Overview 

Working at a daycare or attending high school? This course will help you to get your Child Development Assistant Certification (formerly known as Level 1 Child Care Certification). This course covers child development and the role of the caregiver in a child care setting in Alberta

 

 

Cost 

Since it is funded by Alberta Human Services and is a free to those that are currently employed in a Licensed Daycare or are currently in high school. 

 

 

Dates and Times 

 9 consecutive Saturdays 

 Summer Delivery 

o July 5 - August 30, 2014 

 Fall Delivery 

o October 18 - December 13, 2014 

 Winter Delivery 

o January 24 - March 28, 2015 

 

 

Admission Requirements 

  • Verification of Canadian citizenship or legal Canadian residency status (those with temporary foreign worker permits are not eligible to register in the course) 
  • Currently employed in a licensed child care program (daycare, out-of-school care, pre-school) or approved family day home agency (NOT private babysitting) or currently attending high school 
  • 16+ years of age

The deadline for registration is June 27th, 2014.
