9:30am - Worship & Christian Education  10:30am - Fellowship  11:00am - Traditional Worship

Worship this week - May 18th

Dr. McIvor's sermon is "'We Are Witness': Reprise" based on Acts 7.55-60. This is the story of Stephen, forever known as the first Christian martyr, who witnessed to what he believed about Jesus and paid with his life for doing so. After he spoke, his listeners were so angry they dragged him out of the city and stoned him to death. Most preachers today can be somewhat comforted in that even if a congregation complains about a sermon or fires the one who preached it, the preacher isn't likely to be stoned to death. It does raise the question, however, what does it mean to witness to Jesus today?

Graduation Banquet
On Sunday from 6:00-8:00pm, we will be honoring all of our graduating 8th and 12th graders at a potluck dinner in Fellowship Hall. Elizabeth Ostling, associate principal flute of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and principal flute of the Boston Pops will be speaking and performing, and Rev. Bill McIvor will be giving a special address. The sign-up sheet is posted in the lobby. Contact Matt Crane if you have questions.
Worship at Wingate

PCIS will be providing communion to the residents of Wingate Nursing Home at its monthly Worship at Wingate service. Please consider joining us this Sunday at 1:00pm as we minister to God's older children. Volunteers are always needed. The number of Wingate folks able to attend worship is dependent upon the number of PCIS volunteers who are able to help out. Contact Susan DeHoff with questions at .

Summer Schedule
On Sunday, May 25th, our summer worship schedule will begin. We will have only one service at 10:00am. We will resume our regular worship schedule, Adult Education classes, and Sunday School program in the fall.
