We decided to change up how we present our Power Performer of the month. Now, we want to hear from you!! We asked this months winner, Scott Rich, a few questions about his experiences at Workout 32789...
What's the biggest change you have noticed physically or mentally since you started training with Judi?
I am definitely more conscious of my diet. I lack discipline in this area and have kept my food indulgences, but I am more mindful of my food choices, as well as the frequency and portion size of my cheat meals.
What's your favorite and least favorite part of working out?
My favorite part is feeling energetic, feeling of accomplishment, and the positivity of the Workout 32789 staff. I do notice a positive change in my mental outlook as well as my physical appearance which is rewarding. My least favorite part (and Judi knows this) is burpies or mountain-climbers. She has me do them anyway...
When did you realize it was time to make a change in your life?
I had bilateral hip replacement surgery back in 2010. The recovery process combined with progressing further into my 30s completely changed my body. I gained at least 20 pounds since the procedure. I had met Judi by happenstance on the street when I moved to Winter Park in April, 2012. After Thanksgiving of last year, it became clear to me that I needed to make some changes to get back in shape. I had saved Judi's number from when I met her a year and a half earlier-I made the call and I am very glad I did!
What did you hope to accomplish since you started training at Workout 32789 with Judi the last three months?
Really I wanted to lean up and lose weight. I had to change my perspective with regard to the number I saw when I stepped on the scale. I haven't lost weight, but there has been a significant change in my body fat percentage. I am still working on the six-pack.
