52 Tuesdays is a unique and intimate Australian film centring on a family and - in particular a parent and child - over the course of an eventful year. Tilda Cobham-Hervey shines in an acclaimed performance as Billie, a 16-year-old girl whose reluctant path to independence is accelerated when her mother reveals plans for gender transition and their time together becomes limited to Tuesday afternoons. Taking advantage of the increasing disconnect between family members, Billie begins an unusual friendship with two older school kids. As Billie asserts her independence she discovers a rapidly changing world, where her choices will impact on her own life and the lives of those around her. A film about life in all it's wonderful messiness presenting onscreen characters and relationships that are familiar but rarely seen, 52 Tuesdays examines what it's like for parent and child to meet as adults for the first time.

From Australian-based filmmaking collective Closer Productions, Director Sophie Hyde leads a striking and previously unknown ensemble cast to create a thoroughly modern take on our search for identity, intimacy and how to live an authentic life.

The unique filmmaking rules set by the filmmakers - filmed over the course of a year, once a week, every week, and only on Tuesdays - lend the film an honesty rarely seen. Critically acclaimed, direct from Sundance and Berlin Film Festivals, this is must-see cinema, crystallised in 52 weeks of joy, confrontation, love, and the every day decisions that define all our lives.
