FEATURED EVENT:
NaNoWriMo
Twenty students and their teachers from Farmington View, Groner K-8, Imlay and West Union Elementary Schools came to the District Board Room on Friday, Nov. 20, to work on their novels! November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and several classrooms and students throughout Hillsboro participate every year. Groner 5th grade teacher Connie Greenlee spearheaded the effort to identify times and spaces where the students could come together and write (in addition to the event on the 20th, she also invited students and their families to Insomnia Coffee on Baseline on Nov. 6), and has involved her classrooms in NaNoWriMo for the past 10 years.
