2015 International Meeting on Fully Three-Dimensional Image Reconstruction 

This years meeting was held at the Hyatt Regency Newport Hotel and Spa on Goat Island in Newport, Rhode Island. Our very own Michael King, PhD, DABR and Stephen Glick, PhD, Professors of Radiology, chaired along with Klaus Mueller, PhD, Professor of Computer Science, Stony Brook University and SUNY Korea. Adib Karam, MD graduates the JFDP
Dr. Karam along with 17 other junior faculty members graduated from the year-long UMMS Junior Faculty Development Program this past May.

In Spotlight: Dianne Degon
Dianne Degon, Nuclear Medicine Secretary at UMass, has fostered 50 children and adopted 5 over the past 20 years. Dr. Linda Sagor says, "She is the most remarkable foster mother. She takes such great care (of her children) and is attentive to their needs. She represents the best in foster care."

Former fellows join us as faculty this month
    
As of July 1st, both Jade Watkins, MD and Andrew Smith, MD who graduated last month from their fellowships, will officially become faculty members at UMass. Dr. Watkins will be our newest breast imaging attending and Dr. Andrew Smith will be an abdominal imaging attending, while also helping out in the ED during a transition period between Louis Marone, MD and his replacement.
