Letter from the Chair

Our September newsletter features the great news that both Hahnemann and Memorial mammography have received ACR accreditation with special efforts from Marcia Amaral and Ginny Rollins. Along with the accreditation, we are happy to publish many positive comments from our patients. Thank you to everyone involved in creating all of these positive patient expereinces. Dr. Hussain briefs us about his time in Iran at the Imamia Medics International Conference. Also, Dr. Shahmir Kamalian joined our Neuroradiology Division and Dr. Zaya Duisyenbi is with us as a short term visiting scholar.This month, we have another impressive radiology case to share from the Neuroradiology team. Wishing everyone a great September!

Dr. Hussain Speaks at Conference in Iran
The Imamia Medics International (IMI), charitable organization, held its 8th International Conference in Iran this past month. Our very own Dr. Sarwat Hussain gave two plenary lectures while there. Read more.
 
Mammography sites receieve ACR
accreditation
In 2015, Hahnemann Mammography and Memorial Mammography passed the ACR accreditation. Read a letter from Linda Anderson recognizing Ginny  Rollins and Marcia Amaral as two of the main forces behind the success of this accreditation here .

 
In the Spotlight : Shahmir Kamalian
Assistant Professor, Neuroradiology
Dr. Kamilian began with us at UMass on July 31st and is a new member of our neuroradiology team. He is greatly looking forward to the stroke imaging research opportunities available here. Read more about Dr. Kamalian.
