Superhero Run 2014
was a wonderful success!

We are so grateful for everyone who showed up to run, walk and play at our annual Superhero Run in late August. A little rain did not dampen our spirits and a good time was had by all.

Kuddos to our wonderful volunteers who helped on a variety of fronts. Many thanks also to our sponsors and donors. We had four amazing Superheros this year....thank you to Hunter, Cameron, Ella and Bella. You don't need your capes to show how super you are each day in your fight against cancer. All of our kiddos, their families,  and supporters are
our
heroes year round.

Our monthly SUPPORT GROUP has a new facilitator!
Welcome and thank you to Angie Schuldies. Angie and her husband, Jake, have one son who was diagnosed with retinoblastoma 2 years ago. Their journey has been similar to others' and they are grateful for the chance to come together once a month with folks who"get" what they are going through. Angie is glad to share company with other parents who can feel what they feel with no apologies necessary.
Take a look at Angie and Jake's adorable son.

Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program
mother-son-christmas.jpg
This program is a great way to get into the holiday spirit! Each fall, we match area families in need who have a child on intensive treatment with generous members of the community who donate holiday gifts for the children in the family.

Parents supply a list of ideas for each of their children, and our Adopters go out and have some fun shopping!

These wonderful elves bring the gifts to our office, where we arrange delivery to the parents who then wrap the gifts and give them to their children.

If your family, classroom, community organization or workplace group would like to adopt a family at holiday time, please contact Executive Director, Susannah Peterson, at 608-231-8006.
