This issue is devoted to Alumni Weekend 2014. Nearly 400 alumni enjoyed a great weekend full of reuniting, reminiscing and recalling the beauty of the campus. The weekend was made even more memorable by a generous gift of more than $1.7 million from the 50th reunion class.

Laura Klema Hill '74
has dedicated her career to serving others, as a specialist in eating disorder education, prevention, treatment and research.
Marshall C. Phelps, Jr. '66
has expertise in intellectual property strategy that generated unprecedented economic development and shaped entrepreneurship and innovation worldwide.
Wiley W. Souba, Jr. '75

Special activities for the Class of 1964 included a luncheon with the president Muskingum University President Anne C. Steele, several get-togethers on and off campus and a class meeting. The class gift, presented at the Alumni Banquet, totaled $1,715,509.84!

Eating Disorders from the Inside Out
This presentation, led by Laura Klema Hill '74, experientially applied neurobiological eating disorder (ED) research to newly developed clinical tools that have been developed by Dr. Hill with ED clients and their families. Participants explored new insights in understanding the puzzling symptoms in how persons with eating disorders experience life "in their heads."
Leading Yourself
Integrating research from the language sciences, philosophy, psychology and neurobiology, Wiley "Chip" Souba's talk proposed a new approach for leading oneself. Using real life examples, Dr. Souba '74 reviewed the essentials of being a leader and exercising leadership effectively in a turbulent world where exceptional leadership is needed more than ever.
How a Book Becomes a Book 
Most of us have a story to tell. In this seminar, William Accorsi '54, shared his experiences and insights on how ideas wind up on the page. His immensely popular The Ten Button Book was also available for purchase in the bookstore.
