Our second annual fundraiser, Festival of Flavors, was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who could join and support us!
Guests enjoyed food from local restaurants, including Pita Kitchen Plus, Sapatu Polynesian, and Queen Sheba. Greenbelt Brewers Association served one-of-a-kind home brews, and wine donated by Last Bottle was hugely popular among attendees.
Our silent auction featured handwoven bags.
This event helped us
raise over $11,000 in funds to support our clients and programs! We would like to thank our sponsors Fast Break Tech, California Bank & Trust, and SAFE Credit Union, as well as all of the volunteers, donors, businesses, and organizations in the community that came together to help make this event possible.
Guests enjoyed Ethiopian food, courtesy of Queen Sheba.
Visit our Facebook page for more great photos. We hope you can join us next year for more food, drinks, and entertainment.
Refugee families from Syria began arriving in Sacramento earlier this year. Opening Doors has been welcoming them to the area with support from volunteers and donors.
Your time is one of the most valuable donations you can give, and Heather has been giving to Opening Doors every month as a member of the Community Council.
Deborah Ortiz joins us in the new year as CEO of Opening Doors.
The news is bittersweet, as our current CEO, Debra DeBondt, retires and plans to volunteer once again in Africa.
Thank you for your support!
