REMINDER-
NO GO WEDNESDAY- Coast Guard Inspection
SATURDAY- with the BLUEFISHING to the far north and less than stellar, we made a commitment to STRIPED BASS!!!
Not an easy bait making task, but with a great group of capable anglers we had the bait we needed and made the hop to the grounds.
Not the best day of BASSING but we did manage to put a few on the deck and the anglers aboard got an opportunity to experience the excitement of LIVELINING BUNKER FOR TROPHY STRIPED BASS!
SUNDAY- with high expectations and fair weather, a SUPER, GREAT GROUP of regulars and folks new to the program arrived ready to do battle with the STRIPED BASS.
Unfortunately, weekend boat traffic pushed the bunkers down and in hyper evasion mode. It became evident that making the necessary bait for STRIPER HUNTING was not going to happen.
Plan B was to head back to the north for a BLUEFISH bite that was moving from the Raritan Bay to the east.
We managed to catch the bite, however the bite did not hold the day. In the end, we had fun onboard, but there was the feeling we needed more.
MONDAY- small group was aboard and we immediately saw that the bunkers still had not made up and the usual BASS haunts were empty.
Wasting no time, north we went and caught the tail end of a BLUEFISH bite that was HOT! Novice and experience alike were HOOKED UP!
Rest of the day we picked, with the last drift of the day providing the best bite since the morning.
REALLY FUN DAY, with GREAT WEATHER
