Dear Friend,

I am writing to you from Kyiv, on the NCSEJ fall mission to Ukraine, as we prepare to celebrate Shabbat. It's been a remarkable trip so far and upon our return, I'll share a full report with you on our activities.

Among the highlights so far, I had the opportunity to speak at a rally organized by the Ukraine Jewish community on behalf of Israel. See the update for a report on the rally.

In our conversations with government officials, we have discussed issues ranging from Ukraine's relationships with Israel and the United States, to their efforts to ensure adequate security for Jewish community institutions and memorials.
