DCSD AWARDED AS A "FIT-FRIENDLY WORKSITE"

The American Heart Association recognizes employers who go above and beyond when it comes to their employees' health. DCSD was recently awarded the American Heart Association's Platinum Award as a "Fit-Friendly Worksite!"
HERITAGE ELEMENTARY A NATIONAL TOP 10 
ECO-FRIENDLY SCHOOL 

The National Wildlife Federation released its 2015 list of the top 10 most eco-friendly schools nationwide, including Heritage Elementary School in Highlands Ranch. Heritage was the only school from Colorado to be selected. Congrats Heritage Explorers!

COMMUNITY EVENTS
Community members are invited to experience the passion, skill, and talent that District staff members possess, and to join in celebrating the creativity that is shared with students in art classrooms everyday.  A vast array of two- and three-dimensional artwork, created with a variety of media, will be on display  during regular library hours at the James H. LaRue/Highlands Ranch Library.

The Out of Darkness Metro Denver walk aims to both share information in the community about suicide prevention and to remember the lives of those who taken their lives by suicide. This year's event will be held on  Saturday October 3  at Coors Field in Denver, beginning at  10 a.m.

Come on out for a fast-paced soccer face off at Dick Sporting Goods Park when the Rapids host Real Salt Lake.  Discounted ticket price is $20 (reg. $37) with $3 from each ticket going to the school of your choice. Ticket prices include meal voucher and Coca Cola beverage!

Get lost in the twists and turns of the Corn Maze at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield! Enjoy the maze, unlimited jump pillow, a hay ride, and food vendors.  Tickets are only $8. Must print out and present the linked flyer at the Gardens. Write the name of your school on the flyer and a portion of each ticket sold will help "Fill the Gap."
