It's the first FRIDAY of 2014!!  That means it's time for you to CRANK UP THE VOLUME and listen to a great piece of music! 

On New Year's Eve, I was surprised to see Mariah Carey performing in Times Square.  I didn't know what to expect, but looked forward to hearing music from her upcoming album.

Wow!  She looked great and sounded fabulous.  Her performance brought me back to one of my all-time favorite recordings - Mariah Carey, MTV Unplugged.  The album was a live recording of her MTV Unplugged concert in 1992, and it won the American Music Award for Favorite Adult Contemporary Album.

All of the performances during Mariah Carey's unplugged concert were beautiful, but the one that is perhaps the best one to BLAST at the beginning of the year is Make It Happen!

Let's start the year off by singing along with Mariah at the top of our lungs.  My 2014 mantra is going to be MAKE IT HAPPEN.  What about you?
