MISSION NEWS: OROZCOS
Hitting the Road

9 CHURCHES, 5 POSSIBLE AREAS and 2 MISSION PROJECTS
It's been about 3 months since we've been back "in action" here in the United States. By the end of March, we will have visited 9 churches in 2 states, and explored 5 areas of potential ministry in Michigan.  We also will be participating in 2 Mission Projects in April.

It's been very busy for us and we have been on the road a lot!  It's been a great blessing to visit with people and feel the encouragement and get the hugs we need to continue with the work ahead of us.  We trust and hope that God has used us to encourage you, as well.  You are receiving this because you support us in prayer or donations or both.  Thank you!

We will be speaking and singing at the 8:30am and 10:30am worship services at Cross of Christ in Bloomfield Hills, MI this coming Sunday, March 30th.  1100 Lone Pine Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302 #(248) 646-5886
CHECKING IT OUT
We have traveled to check out possible places to relocate and begin serving Hispanic communities in the Lansing area, Detroit and Richmond.  Last month, we reported to you about Lansing, which is still on our hearts.  We recently visited Detroit.  The ministry called Pan de Vida (Bread of Life) has so much potential and visiting there last Sunday was a very exciting experience.  Pastor Greg Lorenz and his wife, Stephanie, have a great set up with the church building and former grade school (West Bethlehem Lutheran) right in the middle of Mexican Town, Detroit.  Their language and people skills are commendable and we pray for the work they are doing.  Would you pray with us that God would guide them in the ministry there and bring many people from the neighborhood to come to know Jesus?

This week, we will visit Grand Rapids and Oceana County on the West side of the state.  Please pray that we will experience God's guidance during our meetings as we connect with these communities.
SERVING DETROIT and MEXICO
God has lots in store during the first week of April!  We are so blessed to be able to start "giving back" on the investment you have made as we use our language/culture skills to help spread God's Word and love.   Please join us in prayer for the two VBS (Vacation Bible School) events we are involved with as you read about them below:

Sam will be helping canvas the neighborhood around Pan de Vida in Detroit in preparation for a VBS they will be hosting later that month.  Working with MOST Ministries, they will go from door to door to invite the kids to come learn about Jesus.  Although a lot of the kids in Hispanic families speak English, their parents often do not, so Sam's language skills will be used to communicate with the parents about this event that will have an eternal impact in the lives of these children.

Brooke is going to be traveling with a team from St. Luke, Ann Arbor to Mexicali, Mexico in order to serve as a translator for the VBS program they will offer.  She is working now on translations for the Bible Stories she will tell the children each day.  If you are so inclined to give towards Brooke's trip expences, please use the information below to make a donation. Thank you!
KIDS' CORNER
The kids are doing great, but they are ready to settle down - every once in a while there is a twinge of homesickness for Paraguay, and the yearning for the initiation of our next mission to begin.  The girls are working on their homeschooling and making progress so that we don't lose too much time in getting back into the American Educational System next fall.

On the right is a picture of Karolein talking with some people at Salem Lutheran Church in Saint Louis about the items we had on display from Paraguay.

Family Talk:
Take a moment to have a discussion with your children about what it would be like to live in another country, come back, adjust and "wait it out".  Use Luke 9:58 to guide your discussion... The birds have nests, the foxes have dens, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.
A SIMPLE PRAYER
I'm sorry.  I trust You.  Help me.  Thank You.

As we each struggle to respond to God's call to follow Him more closely, this simple prayer can re-focus us on the child-like faith He has given us.  Personally, as we travel, search, share and wait, it becomes a daily need to come before the Lord to admit our need, declare our faith, seek His Hand and offer His Praise.  Wherever you are on your faith journey, God is calling you forward with Him.  May you be ever aware that He is with you.  May you be ever ready to receive His love for you, and to share His love with those around you.

WE CANNOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR PRAYERS AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT - PLEASE CONSIDER STAYING WITH US ON THE JOURNEY OR JOINING US NOW AS WE DISCOVER HOW AND WHERE TO SERVE THE HISPANIC COMMUNITIES RIGHT HERE IN MICHIGAN.  THE NEED IS GREAT AND WE ARE READY TO WORK.
