Tampa Armed Security Officer Shot to Death 

Tampa, Florida July 21 2014 -- Tampa Police detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a security officer.

Police are asking for the community's help identifying the person who shot and killed the armed security guard at a local night club over the week-end. 

Police say the shooting occurred just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning at Supa D's on E. Skagway Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found Kenyatha Walker, 35, lying down outside the club with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives say the shooting took place when the club was about to close for the night and they believe there was a large crowd of patrons exiting the club who may have seen the shooter.
Police are still looking for a motive and trying to determine what happened prior to the shooting.

Detectives are urging those witnesses to come forward with any information they may have that could identify the suspect.
