• In addition to the solo 100 Mile race and the 4 & 8 person relay, Burning River will now offer a 50 Mile distance.  The race will start at Squire's Castle at 6:00 a.m. and finish at the historic Stanford House in Peninsula, Ohio.  
• New start times will be implemented to avoid heavy traffic on the early sections of the course.  The solo 100 Mile race will now begin at 4:00 a.m. and the 50 Mile and Relay will start at 6:00 a.m.
• Have you ever signed up for a race then have your training not go as planned?  If you register for the 100 Mile distance, you now have the option to drop to the 50 Mile prior to race start.  It is kind of like having a built in back up plan!
• Speaking of the Stanford House, hostel rooms and camping will be available next year with proceeds benefiting the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park.  Details on this unique lodging option will be available soon. 
• 2015 will feature a host hotel which will house a prerace dinner with speakers, vendors and a spacious packet pickup including separate pick up areas for solo and relay runners.  The shuttle bus will even swing by the host hotel on its way to the start.

Registration is now open for our beloved volunteers to RSVP to the BR100 Volunteer Appreciation Party on Sunday, August 24th from 1:00 - 4:00.  The picnic style event will be held at Brandywine Country Club's Par 3 Wine Bar located at 5555 Akron Peninsula Road, Peninsula Ohio.  We will provide food, drinks, music, games, and possibly even some celebratory Great Lakes Burning River Pale Ale.

This event couldn't have happened without the help of our amazing volunteers.  With over 300 volunteer positions to fill, there were more volunteers than solo runners!  From course marking and road crossings to aid stations and packet pick up, you all did a fantastic job.  Thank you.
