Support your local shelter or rescue group. November is adopt a senior pet month, so please consider opening up your heart and home to a furry senior citizen:)

2. Drive With Animals In Mind
Slow down and use high beams when necessary.  Deer are especially active this time of year.

3. Clean With Kindness

Use animal friendly cleaning products.

4. Feast With Your Pets

Help your pet get in the holiday spirit with festive pet treats such as sweet potato jerky for your dog or fresh fruit for your bunny.

5. Avoid Animal Anxiety
While you are out shopping, ease your pet's anxiety with a toy to keep him/her busy or play soft music to calm their nerves.

              Take A Break
                From
      The Holiday Hustle

When I first started my business in 2005, I was called upon by Tom Roberts to care for his special Dalmation, Bix.  I came to know Tom as an accomplished musician and co-curator for a series of silent films accompanied by live music.

On December 12th he is partnering with the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society to show pet themed silent films.  A portion of the $8.00 fee will go to support the WPHS.  Tom and a talented violinist will be providing the music for a Buster Keaton film featuring Luke the dog, a Little Rascals film entitled " Cat Dog & Co," as well as a charming Fatty Arbuckle film entitled " Fatty and Mabel Adrift."

The Western Pennsylvania Humane Society will be having a "Meet and Greet" at the theater that day, and a donation to the WPHS will get you a FREE popcorn.  Reduced ticket prices are available to those over 65, under 12, and students with ID. The theater address is:

                        Hollywood Theater
                        1449 Potomac Avenue
                        Dormont, PA 15216

So take a break from the malls and holiday shopping and watch a movie to support the work of Western Pennsylvania Humane Society!

Representing inner strength and a soulful character, this powerful urn is a heartfelt way to honor your "one and only." This white resin urn with faux marbling has an intricately detailed hand finished pewter animal emblem affixed around the body of the vase-shaped urn. Top lid closes securely with a mechanical lock. It is available in sizes to accommodate either a medium or large dog. There is a matching keepsake size, perfect for sharing with family members who also loved this pet.  You may consider this the perfect resting place for the "wild one" in your life.
