Consider the Bicycle
These classes are suitable for anyone who wants to learn how to keep his or her bike in tip-top shape.
A
knowledge of basic hand tools and simple machines is helpful, but not required.
The instructor Joel Dion is founder of
Krank It Up!, a Tallahassee community bike project for building and repairing bikes. Joel is also an artist and musician. currently enrolled at VSU in the BFA program.
Joel says that he gets great satisfaction working with the community, "seeing people feel empowered to take the knowledge they gained and share it with other people."
The workshop is scheduled over
4 Mondays | Oct 26 - Nov 16 from 6 - 7:30 PM here in the Regional Center for Continuing Education.

Staying Active
A recent U. S. News blog includes exercising your body and stimulating your mind as 2 of the 5 Ways to Stay Active as You Age. Fall LIR has over 200 members who regularly doing just those things.
Our folks are dancing, doing yoga, discussing current events, playing bridge and mah jongg, sewing and traveling each week as they take
time to exercise, pursue hobbies and rediscover forgotten talents.

Registration and orientation for each class should be completed by the start date in order for you to

to gain access to your class lessons.
Lessons come out on Wednesday and Friday of each week; you may access them at your convenience. You have ten days to complete each lesson after it has been introduced.

VSU Continuing Ed, in partnership with
ed2go, offers online open enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional level positions for many in-demand occupations.
Information security analysts plan and carry out security measures to protect an organization's computer networks and systems. Cybersecurity has become a hot topic and responsibility for information security is continually expanding as the number of cyber attacks increase.
Demand for information security analysts is expected to be very high as these analysts will be needed to come up with innovative solutions to prevent hackers from stealing critical information or creating havoc on computer networks.
