The 5th Annual Small Business Retreat is designed for those interested in going into business for the first time or those with existing businesses.  We have a wide variety of sessions that will inspire you to new heuights in starting or manageing your existing business.  If you have questions or concerns on running your small business this Small Business Retreat will have the answers to many of the the questions that you seek. 

No matter the size of your business, big or small, this Retreat will have information that you will be able to take home and implement immediately.  With four full tracks, attendees will have the opportunity to hear about business topics such as:

Our lunch keynote speaker is Michael H. Shuman

Michael H. Shuman is an economist, attorney, author, and entrepreneur, and a globally recognized expert on community economics. He is one of the architects of the crowdfunding reforms that became the “JOBS Act,” signed into law by President Obama in April 2012.  Shuman is currently Director of Community Portals for Mission Markets and a Fellow at Cutting Edge Capital and Post-Carbon Institute.  He’s also a founding board member of the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE). He is also an adjunct instructor in community economic development for Simon Fraser University in Vancouver.


Registration fee is $40 which includes two breaks and a boxed lunch.
