Student Team Covers President Obama November Talk on Prison Reform

SCM students Gentrix Shanga and  Silas Kezengwa
The excitement was electric, sparking from person to person, and igniting the entire venue as the crowd waited for the arrival of the President of the United States of America at the Rutgers University - Newark S.I. Newhouse Center for Law and Justice on November 2. Patriotic fireworks and sparklers were not at all necessary as the atmosphere beamed in anticipation for President Barack Obama's address on criminal justice reform.

Among the crowd filled with community leaders, politicians, and students, four Montclair State University (MSU) School of Communication and Media students Gentrix Shanga, Silas Kezengwa, Juan Contla and Natalie Caamano, waited to cover the event and light a spark of their own.
