Teammates Rally for Kidney Disease Prevention
A total of 47 DaVita Kidney Care teammate volunteers screened 357 individuals for chronic kidney disease (CKD) at a Bridge of Life (BOL) event held in conjunction with Remote Area Medical from October 2 - 4 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This was a record-breaking number of teammate volunteers at one event for BOL! Volunteers met with individuals like Raquel, a 65-year-old woman who had not seen a physician since the age of 12 prior to the screening.
Teammate Amy Bogan, who helped to recruit the large number of volunteers, said "DaVita teammates serve, that's what they do, and whether it's in the clinic or in their neighborhood, the result is pretty amazing."
Thank you to all the amazing teammates who attended our screening event!
